Municipality of Vlieland: applying for an affordable housing permit

Please note: you can apply for an affordable housing permit only if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

Are you going to rent social housing in the municipality of Vlieland? Then you need a housing permit if the rent is below the rent allowance limit as referred to in Article 13(1)(a) of the Rent Allowance Act.

  1. The following categories of cheap housing may only be used or provided for residential purposes if a housing permit has been granted for this purpose:
    1. living spaces located in the municipality of Vlieland with a rent below the rental allowance limit as referred to in Article 13, first paragraph, under a, of the Rent Allowance Act;
    2. living spaces with a purchase price below € 450,000
       
  2. The first paragraph does not apply to:
    1. living space as referred to in Article 15, first paragraph, under a to c, of the Vacancy Act;
    2. non-independent living spaces;
    3. company housing.

You pay a fee for this service. For more information, contact the municipality.

If the application is complete, you will find out within 6 weeks whether you will be granted an affordable housing permit. What happens if the application is incomplete? The municipality will contact you.
