Municipality of Midden-Delfland: applying for an affordable housing permit

A housing permit is a permit to live in a cheap rental home. In this way, the municipality ensures that cheap homes are rented to people with a lower income. Whether you need a housing permit is determined by the municipality. If you want to live in a room, houseboat or caravan, you do not need a housing permit.

Whether you need a housing permit in Midden-Delfland depends on the rental price of the house.

A housing permit is required for rental properties with a rent below the rental price limit. Based on regional and national rules, the Board decides whether you are eligible for a housing permit. This depends, among other things, on the level of your income. The level of your income may not exceed a maximum of 1.5 times the standard income of a multi-person household as described in Article 14 of the Rent Allowance Act.

If you have any questions, please contact the Wonen Midden-Delfland housing association, Langetaam 4 in Maasland, telephone number (010) 592 50 93. Also visit www.wonen-middendelfland.nl.

You owe a fee for the processing of your application. The costs for applying for a housing permit are € 19.25.

If the application is complete, you will find out within serveral weeks whether you will be granted an affordable housing permit. What happens if the application is incomplete? The municipality will contact you.

If an application for a housing permit is rejected, you can lodge an objection within six weeks by sending a notice of objection to the Municipal Executive of Midden-Delfland, Postbus 1, 2636 ZG Schipluiden.
