Municipality of Dronten: applying for an affordable housing permit
During the housing crisis, the Vacancy Act was expanded. It is now possible to apply for a permit under the Vacancy Act for a vacant (purchased) home. A tenancy agreement for a home is essentially indefinite. If you only have a permit under the Vacancy Act, temporary (sub)letting is possible. The tenancy agreement must be for at least six months. It is currently still possible to apply for a Vacancy Permit. As an applicant, you must be able to prove that the home is offered for sale and is vacant.
Applying for the Permit
You can apply for the permit using the application form. Please send the application to the Municipal Executive, Attn: Area Development Team. A decision on the application will be made within six weeks. No objection or appeal is possible.
You pay a fee for this service. For more information, contact the municipality.
